Google announced it has added Offline Mode in digital mapping service, Google Maps. Through this new feature, now users do not need internet connection to find a location.
Reported by Digital Spy (06/07/2012), this new feature will visit the Android users, with features that served this California-based company, users can download several segments maps on their devices without the help of internet connection.
At the launch of Offline Mode, the search engine giant revealed, Street View is supported by more than five million kilometers, and the support 20 petabytes of image data. The outcome was the development by Google in collaboration with service users using the Map Maker.
Google Map Maker was launched in June 2008, as a means to compile the location data. Besides these services will also be launched in Africa and Egypt.
